Tilmicosin belong to the semi-synthesis macrolide antibacterial drugs for animal,the antibacterial action is similar with tylosin,the sensitive gram-positive bacterium include the staphylococcus aureus（include the penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus）, pneumococcus, streptococcus, bacillus anthracis, bacillus erysipelatos-suis, listeria monocytogenes, clostridium septicum, emphysematous gangrene clostridium.The sensitive gram-negative bacterium include hemophilus, neisseria meningitides, pasteurella also have effect on mycoplasma.The activity on actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, pasteurella and mycoplasma of livestock and poultry is stronger than tylosin.95% hemolytic pasteurella bacterial strain is sensitive to this product.

Pharmacokinetics 

For oral administration absorption fast,the feature is organize penetration is strong,the volume of distribution is large（>2L/kg）. High concentration in lung,the half life is 1-2 days, longer effective blood concentration.

Drug interactions

1.Used with epinephrine can increase the death of the pig.

2.It has the same action target with other macrolides and lincosamides,do not use simultaneously.

3.Used withβ- lactam antibiotics shows antagonism.

Indications:

Used to treat the infectious pleuropneumonia of swine, swine plague and swine enzootic pneumonia.

Usage and Dosage:

Mix feed:Each 1000kg feed,pig 1000-2000g, continuous use 15 days.

Adverse drug reaction:

1.The toxic effect of this product mainly is cardiovascular system,can cause the tachycardia and decreased contractility.

2.Many animals after oral administration often appear dose-dependent gastrointestinal disturbance,this may caused by stimulation on the smooth muscle.
